A Fresh Start: More Stability, More Power, More Identity On February 9th, 2026 , I made an important decision for the future of my streaming services. After dealing with ongoing instability and outages from my previous provider — serious enough that clients started to experience interruptions — it became clear that change was necessary. Reliability is not optional in the streaming world. DJs and venues depend on stable, uninterrupted audio. When a stream drops, the energy drops with it. That’s why I moved to a new provider built for performance and consistency. What’s New? The new hosting plan includes: Unlimited data transfer High-quality 320 kbps streaming Stronger infrastructure and improved uptime Professional-grade performance Unlimited bandwidth means no more worrying about caps during busy events or extended live sessions. And with 320 kbps audio quality, listeners experience crystal-clear sound — perfect for clubs, live DJs, radio shows, and Auto-DJ st...

7 Febr. 2026 A Professional Way to Broadcast Your Stream When you rent a stream, you often receive something like this: 88.164.33.4:8000 It works… but let’s be honest — it doesn’t look very professional. It looks technical, confusing, and not very friendly for DJs, clubs, or event hosts. At Jarian Streams, we decided to do this differently. Instead of giving you an IP address with numbers, every stream now gets its own personal broadcast address using jarianstreams.com . So instead of this: 88.164.33.4:8000 You can now use something like: DJ-Jon.jarianstreams.com:8000 Much cleaner. Much more professional. Much easier to remember. This works perfectly with your familiar broadcasting software such as BUTT , Mixxx , or SAM Broadcaster , and of course with servers running Shoutcast or Icecast . You do not have to change anything in your setup. You still use the same port, the same password, and the same stream settings. The only difference is that you now broadcast to a name instead...

5 Febr. 2026 Earlier today, I noticed someone had rented an Icecast 100 listeners stream from my Marketplace store. As I usually do, I reached out to check if everything was working fine and to let them know they could always ask for help if needed. She replied that she wanted to start DJ’ing and asked if there was an Auto DJ included with the stream. I had to explain that she had rented a standard stream, not a DJ stream. For Auto DJ and 24/7 playback, a different type of stream is needed. She sounded a bit disappointed and asked if that meant she couldn’t use the stream for DJ’ing at all. Of course she could stream — just not with the Auto DJ features. Then I asked her if she was using a Mac, since she had rented an Icecast stream. She answered, “Nooooo, I’m on Windows.” That made things easier. So I told her I would switch her stream to a Shoutcast DJ stream instead, so she could both DJ live and use the Auto DJ 24/7. Problem solved before it really became a problem. The...

3 Febr. 2026 A customer rented a stream from me but was having trouble getting it to work in Mixxx. He suggested asking the hosting provider for help, assuming they would know what to do. I use BUTTM (Broadcast Using This Tool Modernized) to manage and monitor all the streams I rent out, including his. When I checked his stream settings there, everything was configured correctly and the stream was working fine. This meant the issue was most likely caused by incorrect settings on his side. To help him, I took several screenshots and sent him Gyazo links through Second Life, showing step by step how he needed to configure his software. He had to dj and mentioned he had another stream available and started using that one instead. After that, I did not hear back from him, so I assume the issue has been resolved.

2 Febr. 2026 Some people don’t know how to set up a stream in their software. Sometimes they show up with programs I’ve never even heard of. This time it was RadioBOSS. Another new one learned. No problem though — we just keep trying until it works. And after an hour and a half… it worked. We’ve got the time. You’re welcome — and I hope you’ll be streaming and DJ’ing for a long time to come.

1 Febr. 2026 Since the very beginning of Second Life on June 23, 2003, streaming has been an essential part of the world. Artists, DJs, clubs, and anyone hosting an event all rely on one thing: a good, stable stream. Starting a stream hosting service in Second Life is not easy. There have been streaming providers around for as long as Second Life has existed. It takes time, patience, and dedication to build something reliable that people can trust. And that is where Jarian Streams comes in. You can rent a stream in my in-world store: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Riverview%20Cove/37/231/29 Or through the Marketplace: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/en-US/stores/269987 For the Marketplace, I use a different avatar. I prefer to keep my stores separated, and Second Life allows only one Marketplace store per avatar. I offer streams for 25, 50, and 100 listeners. All of these streams run at 320 kbps for high audio quality. I also provide DJ streams at 192 kbps, suitable for ...
